It uniquely blends two genres under one roof: one floor thumps with Latin pop and reggaetón, while another floor is all about regional Mexican music – we’re talking banda, norteña, and cumbias . On the second floor, you might find line-dancing vaqueros in boots and hats, and on the first floor you’ll find pop divas and drag queens performing. It’s a little bit ranchero and a little bit pop star, and it’s 100% an unforgettable cultural mash-up known for its friendly vibe and affordable drinks.

You can dance to a live banda or salsa in one room, catch a drag lip-sync in another, then grab a drink on the terrace under the stars. By night, it can ramp up into an all-out party, especially when their famous “Sábado Jotero” event hits – a monthly drag extravaganza where taking shots with the queens is part of the tradition. It’s a relatively new addition that quickly became a favorite for its beautiful patio, creative mixology, and inclusive vibe. By day or early evening, you can enjoy tasty food and “tragos coquetos” (cute cocktails) on the terrace. By night, SinFin comes alive with drag performances or viewing parties for Drag Race. It’s the kind of place where you can start your evening with dinner and end it by cheering on Terri’s drag performances – truly sin fin (endless) fun.

Six Colors Bar (13) 

Six Colors is the cozy, colorful sister bar to Green Light, known for its lively drag shows and karaoke in a more intimate setting. Spread across two floors (including a cute rooftop patio), this bar feels like a house party where everyone’s singing along one minute and dancing the next. Six Colors shakes up cocktails at reasonable prices, and its friendly staff and drag queens will make you feel right at home – even if you don’t speak Spanish, the performers’ outrageous humor transcends language .

➡️ Known for: Drag shows and karaoke are the big highlights here. Six Colors is best known for its nightly drag performances that often turn into interactive comedy – the queens will playfully tease the audience and even get you on stage.

Xico Antro (15)

Xico is a stylish LGBTQ+ social club and pop-up party host known for over-the-top theme parties, drag performances, and even off-site events like pool parties . The club itself has a trendy, alternative vibe – you might see folks in rave gear, drag, and creative outfits (their motto is “Express Yourself”). With multiple rooms playing everything from reggaeton to electronic beats and a roster of guest DJs, Xico has quickly become one of the hottest queer spots for the younger crowd. It’s basically where you go when you want an all-night dance party that feels like a special event every time.

La Estación Club is a very busy sex club. It offers lockers, dark rooms, gay porn rooms and glory holes. Admission is $70 for eight hours. Lots of stairs, so watch your step.

Polari is Guadalajara’s stylish new gay sauna in the Las Nueve Esquinas neighborhood, blending sleek modern design with a relaxed local vibe. GAY FRIENDLY PLACES TO STAY IN GUADALAJARA

I recommend staying in Colonia Americana or Centro neighborhoods which are close to all the key attractions plus packed with many great bars, cafes and restaurants. Below are some of my favorite Gay accommodations.

Is a chain of trendy queer friendly hotels in Mexico. Within the Lafayette area, this boutique hotel houses thoughtfully styled boutique rooms as well as top notch facilities. Rooftop swimming pool and a fitness center and a hipster cocktail bar helps the guests in relaxing without stepping out of the hotel.

CASA HABITA

The property is situated in a  grand house from the 1920s in Colonia Americana. Former home of a Mexican actress. La Perla feels more like staying with friends than in a hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable, and colorful interior design makes a cozy stay. Breakfast is served in the stunning dining room and in the evening after completing hard work, one can sit and have drinks upstairs on the roof deck overlooking the beautiful el Expiatorio.
